‘Orbit’ print Series.

This series of prints are constructed by rotating one aluminium plate many times; each time the plate passes through the press, pieces of fabric are laid onto the plate. Their unpredictable folds are layered one on top of each other, to create an image inspired by astronomical bodies and the cosmic sublime.
The use of ghost printing makes possible to create further “echoes” of the main image, in-between states in which the image is still visible, but it is not anymore itself, and will inevitably, slowly fade away.
