Al Saadi

Dr. Najlaa Al Saadi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art Education at Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman. She specializes in fine art and printmaking. She earned her Ph.D. in Printmaking, with both her research and artistic practice focusing on hand-printing methods and the visual arts.
Dr. Al Saadi has published more than forty peer-reviewed research papers in reputable academic journals and has been an active participant in numerous local, regional, and international conferences. She has also exhibited her artwork in many specialized national and international exhibitions.
In addition to her artistic and academic achievements, she has served as a reviewer for several academic programs in the field of art and has evaluated numerous scientific research papers.
Her artistic practice is distinguished by a narrative visual language that seamlessly combines Omani cultural heritage with contemporary printmaking techniques, including batik, screen printing, graphic printmaking, and fine art . Through this approach, she draws upon the richness of Oman's cultural legacy to enrich her creative expression.
Dr. Al Saadi is also deeply committed to community engagement. She has trained approximately 300 women from across the Sultanate of Oman in small business management and entrepreneurial skills in the fields of art and printmaking, empowering Omani women to establish themselves as successful art entrepreneurs both locally and internationally.
Her professional affiliations include membership in several national and international art organizations, most notably the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
