Bilbao hosts a new edition of Open Portfolio at Sala Rekalde

The city of Bilbao once again joins the Open Portfolio tour, strengthening its role as a key location in the program’s international network.

The 12th edition will take place from September 26 to 28, 2025, and this year brings an exciting new feature: the venue will be Sala Rekalde, one of the most iconic contemporary art spaces in the Basque Country.

The open call is aimed at emerging artists whose practice focuses on graphic work—whether through traditional techniques such as etching, screen printing, or woodcut, or through digital printing and experimental processes. This edition will feature 14 selected artists who will have the opportunity to present their work to a professional audience, including curators and cultural agents, in a space designed for exchange, reflection, and visibility.

The Bilbao edition is part of an increasingly international Open Portfolio. In 2025, the program also includes a new venue in Casablanca (Morocco), continuing its expansion into new territories and reaffirming its commitment to emerging graphic art in a global context.
