My name is Meryem Tafali, and I am a Moroccan artist. My practice centers on identity, memory, and human connection.
My work is deeply rooted in the stories, voices, and heritage of my family and culture. Using a combination of photography, painting, and experimental methods, I investigate how relationships especially parental and childhood connections form our existence.
Rather than presenting memory as something broken or buried, I focus on the fragments that endure with us. In my view, time does not move in a straight line it accumulates vertically, layering who we are.
