Olga Karpinsky studied at the Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Appliqués Duperré and the Beaux Arts de Paris before joining the scenography department of the Théâtre National de Strasbourg.
A multi-disciplinary artist, she divides her time between creations for the performing arts and her plastic work, which favors various printing techniques (from photography to engraving and 3D printing) as well as textile sculpture, which she inscribes in space as a sensitive, almost invisible material.
These different media enable her to move from the plane to space, considering clothing as an inhabited materiality, and the trace, of course the imprint, as a clue to what has been.
She has taken part in various residencies, Chemin d’Art in Saint Flour, Galeries Ephémères in Montreuil, Tokyo Wonder Site in Japan, and has exhibited at Puls’Art in Le Mans, The Workshop Gallery in Bialystok, Biennale d’Art Contemporain du Val de Marne, Galerie AAB in Paris, Centre d’Art Contemporain Albert Chânot in Clamart, Musée d’Art et d’Histoire de Saint Denis, Abbaye de Neumunster in Luxembourg, Cibler le Vivant at the Centre d’Art Contemporain de la ville de Montreuil in January 2020, at the Antidote Fiction exhibition in Luxembourg as part of Esch 2022, Cultural Capital of Europe, and at the Journées de l’Estampe Contemporaine in Paris in October 2020 and June 2022. In 2023 she participates in the exhibition l’Eros at the Galerie Libres in Morlaix.
